Maytinis Festival 2011

One of the highlight events of our life is Christmas, the day that the Lord Jesus Christ born. 
Here in Kawit, we have this festival that is a must-see tradition held every Christmas Eve, the Maytinis Festival. 

Maytinis Festival is a procession of floats where every biblical passage that focuses on St. Joseph’s and Virgin Mary’s journey in search of a place for the birth of Jesus is being translated. Each floats characters are being portrayed by selected town people and being sponsored by each barangay of Kawit. It is organized by Confradia de Sagrada Familia, a religious organization composed of Hermano or Hermana. The procession ends at the Saint Mary Magdalene Parish.
